As the weather warms up, your Laced Hair might face some challenges with the variety of elements that come with summer fun.
Below is Laced Hair summer hair care tips:
Ocean, Lake or Pool Care
We recommend wetting your hair before entering the ocean, lake, or pool water. Then follow by combing and braiding your hair.
Use a clarifying shampoo and conditioner right after your day at the lake, pool, or ocean. Then follow by proceeding with your routine post-shower hair care, such as gently squeezing out the excess water and blotting with a cotton towel, use a large wide tooth comb to detangle and straighten while extensions are damp. Add a salon grade hair oil as you blow-dry and style.
It is important to note that minerals found within bodies of water can react poorly with extensions and can lead to discoloration of extensions. Laced Hair is not responsible for any discoloration or change in hair integrity due to contact with water.
Sunscreen
Avoid getting sunscreen in your Laced Hair as much as possible as a variety of sunscreens have ingredients that could cause your hair to lose its integrity and cause discoloration.
Sun Exposure
Your Laced Hair is real human hair and just like your own hair, can get affected by the sun. Use a sun protector spray or braid your hair if you plan to be in the sun for a long period.
Keep Your Hair Hydrated
It is important to hydrate your Laced Hair all months of the year, but in the summer especially, add a non-tinted oil to the ends of your extensions in the morning, evening, and any other times as needed throughout the day.
