It’s the most wonderful time for the Laced Hair Foundation! The holiday season is often known as the season of giving which is the overall mission of the Laced Hair Foundation. Why is the holiday season the best time to nominate a loved one?

November 28th marked the five year anniversary of when Lacy Gadegaard-West, founder and CEO of Laced Hair Foundation, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Her diagnosis came to her right at the beginning of the holiday season and was quite the wake up call for her.

“November 28th serves as my yearly wake up call to remind me of how things could have been,” Lacy said. “It always helps remind me of the things that matter most.”

Lacy is grateful for how things turned out and how she gets to spend many more Christmases with her two little boys

Although Lacy did lose most of her hair during treatment, she had hair extensions she could wear in order to still feel confident with the loss of her hair. Most of the women she met struggling with treatment were not able to invest in hair extensions with the medical bills they had to face. Lacy knew her business could help, and the Laced Hair Foundation was born.

Christmas is the time to hold loved ones closer, and bring them the joy they deserve. The Laced Hair Foundation can do just that.

“I can’t describe how thankful I am that this chapter of my life turned out the way it did,” Lacy said. “(November 28th is) my reminder to appreciate the beautiful world and the ones who matter most that are in it.”

Lacy feels blessed to be able to spend many more Christmases with her family.
