Laced Hair Empowers Women in Multiple Ways for International Women’s Day

Mar 2, 2023

Female founded and led—Laced Hair empowers and gives back to women in multiple ways. In honor of International Women's Day, Laced Hair will celebrate all month with new foundation recipients, discounts for professionals and consumers, interactive campaigns, and scholarship giveaways. The Laced Hair Academy offers virtual and in-person hair extension education to an international community of hair professionals. Additionally, Laced Hair uplifts women in their fight against hair loss challenges through the Laced Hair Foundation, no matter the cause. And for consumers, Laced Hair offers a wide range of extension care tips and do-it-yourself clip-in options, as well as a stylist locator.

Female Founded Brand Laced Hair Styling Session

The Laced Hair brand is over 90% female staffed and ensures hair professionals are seated in all aspects of the business, from the Customer Care team to Educators. The Founder and CEO, Lacy Gadegaard-West, started as a hairstylist and brought her 20 years of hair extension experience to life through ethically sourced and expertly crafted hair extension products. And through the Laced Foundation, Lacy has created a deeper meaning to her brand by harnessing the experience from her own brain tumor diagnosis and hair loss to help other women suffering from hair loss who cannot afford wigs or hair extensions.  This past month, the foundation met its first-ever wig recipient, an 18-year-old named Annie with a profound outlook. “Hair doesn't define me, but what this did was help me feel like my whole self again." - Annie

Lacy wants her community to not only get behind a deeper cause but feel empowered to take their careers to the next level. "Did I mention we have been around a long time? I can't believe we are celebrating our 13th birthday this month! And to top it off, we just hired one of the best hair professionals in the industry, Cassandra McGlaughlin, to be the Director of Education. Just wait to see what she has in store for Laced Academy!" - Lacy Gadegaard-West
