With the 2025 Hair for Hope Gala just around the corner (September 13th @ 5 p.m.), we’d like to remind you of our why. Since its inception, Laced Hair has always had a mission to make women feel beautiful to their core, but this mission gained much deeper meaning when CEO and Founder Lacy underwent extreme hair loss.
In 2015, Lacy’s life changed forever. She woke up one morning experiencing complete paralysis on the left side of her face. After being rushed to the emergency room, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and given a 10% chance of survival. The necessary surgery was deemed too risky, and Lacy underwent intensive treatments that caused her to lose 70% of her hair.
While Lacy knew she could replace her own hair with extensions, the women around her expressed their desire for the same but inability due to the crushing financial burden of their treatments.
Right then and there, the Laced Hair Foundation was born.
Since then, the Laced Hair Foundation has provided hundreds of women with free hair extensions, wigs, and hair toppers, arming them with the confidence to navigate their toughest battles. Of course, this wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity of our donors, who’ve been so gracious to gift the Foundation with their time, attention, and participation in our annual Hair for Hope Gala.
In fact, last year’s Gala alone sponsored 64 nominees and raised over $85,000 towards aiding women fighting some of life’s hardest battles.
This year, we’ll be holding the Hair for Hope Gala September 13th at Traeger Headquarters in Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. We’ll start the evening with cocktails, socializing, and dinner, before diving into a silent auction! Feel free to take a sneak peek at some of the names you’ll see featured.
If you’d like to attend, we’d be honored to have you! There are a variety of ways to get involved, whether you purchase an individual ticket, a table for your group, sponsor the event, donate, nominate a recipient, or simply spread the word. Click here to get involved.
